Description
Grown by smallholder producers on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, this coffee gets its name from the southern region of Toraja. The rich volcanic soil and warm climate allow for the optimal cultivation of coffee crops. This is exactly why the Dutch chose this area to plant coffee in the 1600s for export back to Europe. Our direct partner in the region is the Wahana Estate who works with these producers to process, educate, improve, and export their coffee.
The natural beauty and abundance of wildlife on the island of Sulawesi, the kindness of the people, in conjunction with the vibrant culture- keeps visitors coming back.
