Description
This coffee comes to us from the Windrush Estate in Kiambu, Kenya.
Windrush is a unique estate in that it is operated by the Gotatha Society, a collective that was given to the workers by the estate’s British Founder. The Gotatha Society takes great pride in managing the estate and has built a school on the property and even invested in the surrounding farms and processing stations in the area.
Nick and Drew Hubbard had the privilege of visiting Windrush on a relationship trip a few years back. While there, they participated in several cuppings, walked part of the grounds, and met some of the farmers.
We find that this coffee is spectacular hot or iced and even find ourselves using it for cold brew in summertime. Expect notes of chocolate, spice, and vanilla paired with a medium body and bright acidity.
