Ethiopia Sidamo

$17.00

Juicy, floral, and blueberry notes accompanied by a crisp, orange acidity and medium-heavy body.

Description

This washed process coffee comes to us from the region of Yrgacheffee, Ethiopia.

Yrgacheffe is a micro-region located in the Sidama region of southern Ethiopia and is often thought of as coffee’s original birthplace. Coffees that come from this region are often characterized as having intense floral and fruity notes due to the high elevation, high temperatures, and heavy rainfall that beans in this region are exposed to.

Nick and Drew Hubbard cupped both washed and natural versions of this coffee when they traveled to Ethiopia and knew they had to bring them back to share with the Hubbard & Cravens family. Last year we introduced the natural version of this coffee to our website and stores, so this year the washed version gets its chance to shine. We have roasted and provided restaurants with wonderful coffees from Yrgacheffe for many years, but this coffee is a step above the rest and we are truly grateful to have come across it in our travels.

Expect a wild, deep, and complex cup with juicy, floral and blueberry notes accompanied by a crisp, orange acidity and a medium body.
